DID YOU KNOW:

Domestic violence has occurred throughout written history. The phrase “rule of thumb” dates back to the mid-1600s in England when the concept of the “rule” was that it was acceptable for a man to beat his wife as long as he used a stick no bigger around than his thumb.

If you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship please call the Hubbard House hotline at (904) 354-3114 or 1 (800) 500-1119.
