Housing Services

A program to help you on your journey toward a safe, secure home of your own.

There are a number of things to consider when leaving an abusive relationship. A question we often hear is … where will I live? It’s a big question and an important one. The answer is, we are here to help with that too.

Hubbard House’s HOPE (Housing Opportunities Promote Empowerment) Program helps victims of domestic violence achieve safe, permanent housing as quickly as possible.

It all begins with a call to our 24/7 domestic violence hotline where a trained advocate can safety plan with you and discuss your options. Some may need to come in to shelter right away and then enroll in the HOPE Program. They’ll secure their own place to live while in shelter, with the help of our advocates. For others, they may need to make an appointment at our Outreach Center to discuss housing options.

We will help qualified individuals secure housing, and we will walk alongside you that first year. Your choices are at the center of this process. Where do you want to live? Do you have children and adult dependents that need to come with you as well? What life do you envision for yourself? How would you like us to help you as you go on this journey?

Our trained advocates will work with you. They will help you locate a place where you feel safe. We’ll work with your landlord. Credit concerns? We’ll help with that too. The HOPE Program includes funding for part of the cost of housing too. When funding is available, we may be able to help with relocation costs and deposits. As you settle in and realize you have a need for counseling or Hubbard House’s other resources, they are available to you.

We understand you have a lot you are working through and we are here to help you along the way. Give us a call or stop by the Outreach Center and we can give you information about your options.
