Since 1976, Hubbard House has offered life-saving and life-changing programs and services to victims of domestic violence and their children free of charge. Our efforts are only possible because of the generous support we receive from individuals and organizations, who believe victims deserve to live a life that is violence-free.
This community support spotlight focuses on Mattress Firm. Mattress Firm has given a donation of 23 twin XL Tempur-Pedic mattresses to Hubbard House, the domestic violence center serving Duval and Baker counties in Northeast Florida. A donation Mattress Firm values at approximately $44,000.
Hubbard House shelters around 90 women and children who have experienced domestic violence each day.
“We are very appreciative of this generous donation,” said Ellen Siler, CEO of Hubbard House. “Many women come to shelter with serious injuries and these mattresses will make their sleep more comfortable than what we have been able to provide in the past.”

Mattress Firm is very active in communities across the country. Since February, employees have given over 4500 hours of their personal time to organizations in their hometowns. This year, Mattress Firm will donate over $1 million in mattresses and accessories.
