EVERY RELATIONSHIP VIOLENCE-FREE
Help a Survivor-Led Family to
Have Happier Holidays
Hubbard House is accepting special holiday donations from the community for survivors and children being served in the domestic violence emergency shelter or through Hubbard House’s outreach programs.
If, in addition to your regular end-of-year gift, you would like to make the holidays special for a Hubbard House survivor-led family, the options are many! Here are ways to help:
Thanksgiving & Holiday Dinner Baskets
Shop for and then put together baskets of Thanksgiving and/or holiday dinner staples (packaged, non-perishable items and a grocery gift card for the turkey or ham) for local survivor families in need of support.
You provide the gifts to stock our in-house Toy Store, then in-shelter moms shop for their in-shelter children for free.
WOW! Thank you, community!!!
ALL 2019 eligible families have been adopted! Still interested in taking on a special project to help survivors? Consider a donation drive for food/everyday essential items, gifts for our Mommy Store or toys for our Toy Store.
Adopt and shop for one survivor-led family, usually a mom and kids. Then deliver the makings of a meal and unwrapped gifts (purchased from their wish lists) to the Hubbard House Outreach Center in time to make your adopted family’s holiday happier.
Wrangle Wrapping Paper, Ribbons, Scissors and Tape
Festive papers, suitable for all ages, accepted and appreciated! In-shelter moms and kids wrap their own gifts to keep holiday traditions strong. (Little ones get plenty of help.)
Contribute a new gift for the Hubbard House Mommy Store! At the Mommy Store, in-shelter children shop for free for special gifts for their in-shelter moms.
Hold a donation drive to collect critical items that survivors need all year! Non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, paper goods and personal hygiene items are a tremendous help.
