EVERY RELATIONSHIP VIOLENCE-FREE
How do I get started?
We’re so glad you’re thinking about volunteering at Hubbard House! Attending Volunteer Orientation is the first step in the process. During this approximately one-hour session, you will learn more about Hubbard House and our various volunteer opportunities.
If after orientation you’ve decided you would like to volunteer, you’ll be asked to complete the following steps:
Pay for a level two background screening, see form below.
Work with our volunteer department to schedule the screening.
Attend 30 hours of core competency/advocacy training to get privilege (Requirement for working with clients).
Placement in a volunteer role.*
*Volunteer placement is contingent upon DCF approval on the background screening, if training requirements have been met, and if there is availability in the schedule and within programs.
