Communication is a key element in the healing process for victims of domestic violence. It is also a key to helping prevent domestic violence. Everyday, we hear stories from women and children whose lives have been shattered by senseless violence. But, we also hear wonderfully empowering stories from victims and children whose lives have been rebuilt through self-perseverance, support and hope. Through these stories, victims often learn and heal.

I am so grateful for Hubbard House. I was a tenant (former victim) in 1981. I only had that one child. I remained single until 2003 just recently when I married a Minister. Thank you Hubbard for the foundation you laid for me for New Beginnings. I enjoy telling my testimony about this center that let me know I was special.

After researching how an abuser keeps control through various tactics. I could not believe how I did not know the real reasons behind the abuse. I did not see it because I did'nt know what I was looking at. However, my soon to be ex-husband did every thing like a text book.
Hubbard House helped with my injunction..Thanks Hubbard House. I am now trying to pick up the peaces. Find myself again.
