Hubbard House provides temporary housing for female and male victims of domestic violence and their children and any adult dependents. The facility has 17 bedrooms and 72 beds. Specific services include:
- 24-hour staffing with a professionally trained team to assist residents with physical and emotional support, including food, personal items, first aid, and clothing. The center has a playground and playroom for children, a laundry room, library, and teen room.
- Individual and support group counseling for both adults and children. The entire family benefits from individual and group counseling, education, and the unique healing impact of informal discussions with other residents.
- Comprehensive victim advocacy. Victim advocates support and implement Hubbard House's philosophy of empowerment. The team helps clients assess their needs and establish goals based on their individual circumstances with a primary focus on safety for the family. Once basic needs are met, advocates assist residents with long-term goal-making, including continued safety planning, education, employment, and housing.
- Licensed therapeutic child care for infants, toddlers, and preschool residents. The long-term effects upon children who witness domestic violence can be devastating. This program teaches children of domestic violence victims alternatives to violent behavior.
- Before and after school care for school-age children. Access to a secure school.
