Administration - Clerical assistance sought in a fast-paced challenging environment. Hours available, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Community Education - Help provide education about domestic violence and Hubbard House services by joining our speaker’s bureau or staffing information booths throughout the community, also includes special events staffing with a focus in the fall preceding and during Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. Hours available, this is an on-call opportunity including weekends as needed.

Social Change and Fundraising - Join one of our two auxiliary organizations. Friends of Hubbard House is a group dedicated to raising awareness through education and fundraising. MAVAW, Men Against Violence Against Women, is a special initiative aimed at involving men in the movement to end all forms of violence against women through education and special events.

Thrift Store - Sorting specialists needed! Help out at one of our two convenient thrift store locations. Flexible hours are available Monday through Saturday, from 10.00 a.m to 6.00 p.m. This is a “drop-in” volunteer opportunity and can be performed prior to orientation.

First Step Enrollment - Strong, independent assistants needed to provide information and referrals to perpetrators of domestic violence currently involved in judicial process. Hours are available on Wednesday evenings and through the week. Clerical assistance hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

First Step Court Assistant - Dependable, self-directed individuals needed to attend court proceedings, observe injunction hearings, help staff track proceedings, and complete paperwork. Hours for the Civil Division are Mondays, first shift is from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., second shift is from 12:30 a.m.- 2.00 p.m. for review hearings to verify compliance with court orders.

Day care - Patient, nurturing care givers sought for therapeutic day care to work with infants through preschoolers, hours available Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

School Aide - In-school program - assist w/ academic program for school age children, hours available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Family Advocacy - assist with evening activities for all age children. Groups are held Tuesday through Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Occasional weekend outings may also utilize volunteers.

Shelter Advocates - Seeking good listeners with strong problem-solving skills. Mature, empathetic candidates must be at least 18 years old and female. Assist with intakes, services for clients in shelter, and answering the hotline. Hours are available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year.

Court Advocates - Seeking good listeners with strong problem-solving skills. Mature, empathetic candidates must be at least 18 years old. Volunteers will provide supportive advocacy and referral assistance to clients seeking protection against domestic violence. Hours available Monday - Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Outreach Support Groups - Co-facilitate evening support group meetings throughout the community.

Children’s Outreach - Assist with group activities in our Helping At Risk Kids program, for children ages 3 - 17, to promote safety, self-esteem and non-violent conflict resolution. Offsite locations, weekday evenings.
