Hubbard House offers numerous opportunities for you, your organization or your company to help. Below you will find links to individual and group volunteer options.





Top 10 Volunteer Collection Drive Ideas

Hubbard House depends on the support of the community to continue to provide safe emergency shelter and other services to abused women and their children in this area. We greatly appreciate the wonderful support we receive from the community. Some of our strongest needs are items that can be collected. Below is a sample list of collection drive ideas to better acquaint you with the needs of our agency:

Help stock the kitchen cabinets:Pots, pans, dishware, silverware, mixing bowls, mixing spoons, measuring cups, can openers, spatulas, tongs, oven mitts

Help stock the linen closet:Blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, washcloths

Help keep it clean:Bleach, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap

Give a smile to a child entering shelter:Crayons, activity books, small stuffed animals, travel size puzzles, small toys

Help lift a victim's spirit:Puzzle books, stationary, stamps, nice writing pens, journals, address books, and umbrellas

Help stock our food pantry:Pastas, soups, juice boxes, hamburger helper, individual snack size crackers, cereals, macaroni and cheese, tuna fish

Help take care of personal and health needs: Personal: body wash, loofah, soap, conditioner, shampoo, deodorant, perfume, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, feminine hygiene. Health needs: Medicines such as pain relievers, cold meds, stomach ailments, and first aid items for adults and children

“Shower” our babies:Diapers (all sizes), blankets, baby wipes, pacifiers, bottles, bottle cleaners, strollers and carriers

Help our families Relax:Travel size games, activity books, journals, crayons or color pencils

Help is a phone call away:Old cell phones are a lifesaving resource for victims of domestic violence. Collect old cell phones and donate them to Hubbard House so they can be recycled. Some of the cell phones are able to be reprogrammed with the Hubbard House Hotline and 911 and distributed to clients at Hubbard House.

Help our families achieve independence:Provide "new home welcome kits" or starter kits for bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc.
