Hubbard House provides a domestic violence prevention program to students in Duval County schools, funded through the United Way.

Relationship Abuse Prevention (RAP)

RAP is a research-based violence prevention program for middle and high school students in Duval County. The program is the result of a partnership between Hubbard House and United Way. It was created to complement other in-school violence prevention efforts such as rape prevention and bullying.

There are three main goals of RAP:
  • To sensitize students to the issue of abuse and dating violence as well as to provide instruction regarding non-violent conflict resolution.
  • To motivate students to make a change in their attitudes and behavior as it relates to abuse and dating violence.
  • To educate students regarding the various types of abuse, the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, and techniques for non-violent conflict resolution.
To learn more about the Hubbard House RAP program, please call (904) 354-0076 ext. 209 or email education@hubbardhouse.org.
