Hubbard House provides domestic violence education for a number of different sectors of the community. These sectors are divided into two main areas: Community Training and Professional Training. Hubbard House educators, experienced in domestic violence prevention, facilitate these trainings, which are specifically tailored to the audience.

Continuing Education Training
In Florida, most licensed medical professionals are required to attend two hours of domestic violence training from an approved provider on a periodic basis. Hubbard House is an approved provider for nurses and mental health providers. Our training is available for all professionals who need continuing education credits or contact hours for licensure.

Domestic Violence In The Workplace Training
Domestic violence affects every aspect of an individual’s life, including work. Hubbard House has developed a curriculum designed to educate employers and employees about the effects of domestic violence on the workplace. The training includes information about how to identify abuse, strategies for communicating with victims and abusers, and safety planning in the workplace. Trainings can be customized for employees as well as management.
